Returning sanity & civility to Texas government and restoring a collaborative and cooperative spirit, putting aside things that divide us; with a focus on real issues, not distractions.
The voucher program pushed through by President Trump, Governor Abbott, and Lt. Governor Patrick is a terrible deal for Texas. Our teachers and education staff deserve robust support from our elected officials and fair compensation. Our children deserve the BEST public education in the nation, and we have a responsibility to the next generation to ensure this quality. Additionally, rural public school systems must receive the financial support and resources similar to those afforded to urban school systems, just as we advocate for healthcare expansion and improved rural infrastructure in Texas politics.
Texas has the highest percentage of uninsured population in the US, a situation exacerbated by factors such as lower income levels, lack of access to healthcare facilities, and Texas politics, particularly the state government's refusal to expand Medicaid. By supporting healthcare expansion, we can ensure that more vulnerable Texans receive the care they need while also bringing billions in federal dollars back to our state. Additionally, it is crucial to restore essential reproductive health care rights to all Texans and to remove the state from influencing health care decisions between individuals and their doctors, especially in rural areas where infrastructure is lacking and access to public education about health care options is limited.
Dive deeper into healthcare issues facing Texans from both rural & urban areas.
Water and energy are fundamental to our Texas way of life. Without comprehensive legislated protections in place, our water supply is at risk from over development. Without state-wide water policies, new industries and urban/suburban development projects undermine our agricultural water resources. Additionally, the lack of support for all energy sources jeopardizes Texas energy production. Addressing the water needs of rural housing development projects, agricultural/ranch needs, and new business uses such as data centers, is essential for comprehensive state-wide water and energy planning and funding. This is a key priority for my campaign within Texas politics.

Wise and Denton Counties are experiencing rapid population growth and continued development, with projections indicating further expansion in the years ahead. Our infrastructure, including roadways and safety improvements, must adapt to support not only the growing population but also the essential healthcare expansion and public education needs in the area. Implementing CBRS to bring broadband internet access to rural areas is a promising start. However, it is crucial to address the need for improved multi-county transportation and rural infrastructure planning, especially in the context of Texas politics and regional water district strategies.
